Video Of Rick Clement Walking On New Legs Goes Viral

A video of double amputee Rick Clement walking on his new prosthetic legs has gone viral.

The footage of the former soldier from the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment has over 1,700,000 views, almost 50,000 likes and some 6,000 comments - so far.

Rick lost his legs and suffered serious internal injuries when he stepped on a roadside bomb in Afghanistan five years ago.

And his determination and positivity was clear in the message he posted alongside the video: "Please like and share my first real steps towards the cenotaph. A long way to go but I'm so chuffed with the start."

Back in January we saw Rick take his very first steps after his injuries - on a previous pair of prosthetics:

He now plans to take a few steps at the Cenotaph in November, so he can lay a wreath for the friends he lost while on tour.

Forces TV is following Rick's story this year as he learns to walk again - and we'll keep you fully updated with his journey in the coming weeks.
