Bronze Medal For Para-Athlete Nick Beighton At European Canoe Championships
A former Army para-athlete has claimed a bronze medal at the European Canoe Championships in Poland.
Captain Nick Beighton was injured while serving with the Royal Engineers in Afghanistan in 2011, but competed as a rower at the 2012 Olympic Games.
In 2016, Beighton also won a bronze medal for Paracanoe in Rio for the Paralympic Games.
His third place finish at the European Championships in Poznan added to his medal haul.
His result was celebrated by British Canoeing on Twitter.
