Watch: Runners from across the military and civil service compete at the Sir Sefton Brancker Trophy

Armed Forces cross-country runners have taken part in their first event of the year in the Sir Sefton Brancker Trophy at RAF Halton.

The women's race was dominated by runners from the British Police after the RAF were depleted with injuries and late withdrawals, with the Air Force's highest-ranked runner Kim Adams placing eighth.

In the men's race, the RAF's Adam Baker finished second behind Civil Service runner Jack Miller.
