British Army shooter Emilia Faulkner will make her senior debut for Great Britain when she competes at the European Championships in Croatia in March.

The Scotland international, who serves with the Royal Engineers, was named as the Rising Star at the Army Sports Awards in November.

She will compete in the women's 10m air pistol event at the competition in Croatia as part of a strong GB team.

Meanwhile, fellow Army athlete Sam Gowin has received a boost as he bids for a place at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

The 2018 Commonwealth Games bronze medal winner has been named in British Shooting's World Class Shooting programme for this year.

The Royal Artillery soldier is a specialist in the rapid-fire pistol events.
