The Royal Navy women's cricket team are currently taking part in a tour of South Africa.

During the trip, the Navy scheduled a number of fixtures against difficult opposition with the aim to test themselves against some of South Africa's top local talent.

They kicked off the tour with a T20 loss to Western Province by four runs, with Abi Malcom delivering two wickets in the defeat.

They bounced back with a win over the University of Cape Town in the T20 format.

Jen Cass hit 30 runs from 37 balls as the Navy set a target of 126/5, and a ruthless bowling attack saw them bowl the home side out for just 36 runs in 10.5 overs.

The winning momentum continued against a Catch XI, but this time the opening batting partnership were the match-winners.

Chasing a target of 119, the Navy didn't lose a wicket in their quest, with Victoria Cannon and Pippa Chadwick helping seal a 10-wicket victory.

Their fourth match on the tour was a 35-over contest and came against Stellenbosch University, with a competitive match seeing the Navy win by four wickets.

Chadwick (40) and Shanna Oliver (34) were the big hitters for the Senior Service.

The men's senior team have also been in action on the tour, winning four matches from five.

Nathan Hill's 77 not out against Claremont was the highest individual run total from the team until Ben Johnston smashed in an unbelievable 105 runs from 105 balls in their latest match against Stellenbosch University.

The tally included 15 boundaries (11 fours and four sixes).
