RAF U23s Win Inter Services Title With Navy Thrashing

The Royal Air Force have won the 2020 Inter Services U23 Championship.

After beating the Army in their first match, the Air Force knew they would be crowned champions with a win.

A thumping 4-0 victory did the job as they managed to take the trophy from last year's champions, the Navy.

The home team made the perfect start when they took the lead inside 20 minutes.

Scotsman Alexander More coolly slotted past the Navy goalkeeper who had come rushing out to the edge of his box.

It was 2-0 just minutes later.

Full-back Gray's powerful shot took a wicked deflection to take the ball past the goalkeeper and the RAF were celebrating a comfortable lead.

The Navy had a few chances of their own, but captain David Parker was denied from a free-kick to keep it 2-0 at half-time.

The fourth goal that sealed the RAF's win and made them champions.

In the second half, the RAF made it three early on.

Gregor Brown managed to make the save from the free-kick, but Joe Spalding was quickest to reach to score.

There was still chances for both sides but More fired wide from three yards out.

Meanwhile, the Navy forced a good save from long range.

The RAF were not to be denied though and got that all-important fourth goal with seconds remaining.

Sam Dawson found the empty net and the RAF were celebrating an Inter Services title.
