Royal Marines beat Parachute Regiment to win 2022 Falklands Cup
The Royal Marines have retained the Falklands Cup after a 2-0 win over the Parachute Regiment in Essex.
Goals from Rhys Thomas and Stu Morgan had the men in green cruising towards victory at half-time.
In the second half, the Parachute Regiment couldn't find a way back into the game and the Marines held on to the trophy.

This was the first time that the match was played since a nine-goal thriller in 2019.
While the entertainment didn't stretch to that extent, both sides created many chances.
The Marines had the lead early on when Thomas played a nice give-and-go with Morgan before finishing tidily into the bottom corner.
They ended the first half in the same fashion – Morgan using his strength to brush off a defender before tucking the ball away at the near post.
The Parachute Regiment did their best to force a comeback but couldn't find the goals they needed as the trophy went back to the South West once again.
