Former soldier Corie Mapp secures third Para Bobsleigh World Cup title

Former soldier Corie Mapp has won the para bobsleigh World Cup crown for the second successive season and for the third time in his career.
Mapp retained his title after topping the overall standings following the seventh and eighth races of the season in Sigulda, Latvia, on Saturday.
The 46-year-old rounds off his World Cup season with three gold, a silver and two bronze medals, leading the standings from start to finish.
A double amputee following injury while on active duty in Afghanistan in 2010, Mapp now has half a century of top-tier medals to his name.
In Sigulda, he wasn't able to add to his medal tally after placing eighth in both the seventh and eighth races of the season, but the substantial lead he had built in Lillehammer throughout January was enough to hang on to his bid for another World Cup title.
Mapp will now head to the World Championships in St Moritz as he attempts to go for the one major title that's missing from his trophy cabinet, having won silver in 2019 and bronze in 2024 and 2017.
The world championships take place on 13 and 14 February.
