RAF Aces overcome unlikely three-goal margin to win back-to-back Inter Services titles
The RAF Aces have won back-to-back Inter Services titles after a thumping 4-0 win over the British Army Blades at IceSheffield.
The Aces knew they would have to win by a three-goal margin to become champions again and the Army were favourites after their 7-3 win over the Royal Navy Destroyers on Monday.
However, a superb, physical RAF performance got the job done in front of a loud pro-Aces crowd.

The importance of the title stakes resulted in a feisty contest with a number of players on both sides involved in incidents that led to sin bins for boarding, roughing and interference.
The physical nature was part of the RAF's plan to disturb the Blades' rhythm and it paid off when Phillip Woolf belted in the opening goal in the first period.
Woolf added a second at the end of the next period and IceSheffield erupted with belief that this unlikely turnaround was possible.
That momentum took the RAF over the line with Jacob Race and Liam Archer netting in the final period to seal a 4-0 win and a trophy celebration for the Air Force.
