Shooting for Paris: RAF Hockey's Liam Sanford aims for Team GB selection
Royal Air Force Hockey star Air Specialist Class 1 Liam Sanford is hoping to compete at what would be his second Olympic Games as he aims to be selected for Team GB's Hockey team.
AS1 Sanford played a pivotal role in helping Great Britain's men's hockey team qualify a team to Paris 2024 at a recent Olympic qualifier in Oman.
The Olympic qualifier was also a milestone moment for the RAF Hockey player as he reached 100 combined caps for England and Great Britain, a testament to his longevity which includes starts at the 2021 Olympics and the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
With the build-up to Paris 2024 in full-swing, AS1 Sanford speaks to Forces Sport about how his preparations for team selection are going as he shoots to make his second Olympic team.
And despite ruling himself out of this year's Inter Services as he prepares for Paris, he gives his take on how the RAF men stack up heading into this year's Inter Services and how the RAF Elite Athlete Scheme has impacted his career to date.
Hear what he has to say in the featured video above.
