UKAF Rally Team take part in Jim Clark event in Scotland

The UK Armed Forces Rally Team have taken part in the Jim Clark event in Scotland.

The race was named after the former Formula One world champion who tragically died at the 1968 German Grand Prix.

Clark was laid to rest in the town cemetery in Duns, which is where the rally event took place with three UKAF Land Rovers in action.

This was also the first time the Jim Clark Rally has taken place since 2014 when three spectators died in an accident.

There was controversy this year as two stages of the event were abandoned due to a Duns' local parking his car on the route which blocked the stage.

Phil Cook was the first forces star to cross the line, which gives him the lead in the Armed Forces Rally Championship.

The team will be in action next at the end of the month at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
