Inter Services netball: Is this the RAF's year?

Over recent years, the gap between the British Army and RAF netball teams has shortened and shortened.

In 2023, a titanic title battle saw the RAF lose by eight points which is the closest result between the two teams in recent history.

Is 2024 the year that the RAF make a statement against the dominant champions?

"We're going into this with confidence," said RAF captain Flight Lieutenant Rebecca Campbell.

"We're feeling like this year is our year again. We're more confident, we've trained hard and we're a great team."

The RAF were hosts last year at RAF Cosford but this year they will make the trip to their rivals' backyard as the championship is being played in Aldershot.

Despite that, the Air Force are focusing on themselves.

Flt Lt Campbell said: "Our focus this whole season has been how we want to play and what we can bring to the Inter Services and what we are good at.

"So that is our focus. We know what we do well and we're going to bring that."
