Premier League Preparation For Army Footballers

Both the men's and women's Army football sides are about to begin their defence of their Inter Services titles against the RAF.

The men's team kick-off their campaign at the Military Stadium, and have added a touch of Premier League class to their preparations after enlisting the help of former top-flight player and manager, Iain Dowie.

He first encountered the Army side during a football tour of Slovakia in May 2015 while part of a Professional Footballers Association event.

Meanwhile, the women's team will host the Air Force at the home of Aldershot Town FC.

The 'women in red' told Julian Evans that they are confident of an eighth consecutive title after an unbeaten season.
