REME-Mania: Festival Of Sport Beats Expectations

This is the second year the REME has organised this two-day event. 

It brings together Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers from 42 different cap badges to compete in 15 different sports, at the grassroots level.

Indoors at MOD Lyneham there was a highly competitive basketball competition with the tournament lasting for two days. There was also netball and martial arts and powerlifting.

Outdoors, the hockey tournament was in full swing, with cross country and cycling and orienteering.

Event director Geordie Wright- Rivers says this year's numbers surpassed all expectations and last year's inagural event.
