Three soldiers are set to make history with Leeds Rhinos Women after being named in the club's 20-player squad for the first-ever Betfred Women's Challenge Cup Final at Wembley, where they will face St Helens.

Dual-coded Welsh international Bethan Dainton leads the way after making the switch from Rugby Union to Rugby League to join the Rhinos ahead of the 2023 season.

The back-row player will be joined by Army Rugby League players and Army reservists Tara Moxon and Jenna Greening.

Born in Papua New Guinea, where Rugby League is the national sport, Moxon switched codes in 2019 before joining the Rhinos in 2020.

Positioned as a wing, Moxon serves as a medic in the Army reserves working in the NHS, and has also played for the Army Rugby League team.

Hull-born Jenna Greening, who recently returned to playing Rugby League with the Army after a 10-year break from the game, came into this season having helped the Army win their 13th consecutive Inter Services title last year, where she was a try scorer.

The Women's Betfred Challenge Cup Final at Wembley Stadium kicks off at 11:50 BST on Saturday 12 August.

The team was announced in an online video released by Leeds Rhinos, where former star players, including Rob Burrow, Kevin Sinfield and Jamie Peacock, made an appearance.
