RAF women's rugby league team impress with big victory over Wigan St Patricks

The RAF women's rugby league team showed their attacking talent as they strolled to a 40-16 win over Wigan St Patricks.
Wigan settled into their rhythm early in the game and took the lead as Aimee Epengule crossed the line, but the RAF soon roared back into the contest through Dina Gray's try, which was converted by Lynne Brooker-Brown.
Hannah South was next to score a converted try, and when Hannah McCabe followed suit soon after, the Air Force were in a commanding lead.

South's second continued the RAF onslaught, and further tries from McCabe and Isla Cooper put them in a strong winning position.
However, if they thought the job was done, Wigan came out fighting in the second half to keep it competitive as Epengule scored twice more to complete a hat-trick.
The RAF would hold on to the win, though, as Grace Burnett added the final score.
The win is a boost for the RAF as they continue to prepare to mount a challenge for the Inter Services in September, and they will ramp that up when they face the GB Police at RAF Cranwell on 24 July.
