Wales made history at the World Cup and Army soldier Bombardier Bethan Dainton led the way

Army soldier Bombardier Bethan Dainton has captained Wales in their first-ever match at the Rugby League World Cup.
Bdr Dainton led the team out against England for the monumental occasion in Perth, Australia.
Wales came into the game as big underdogs and the 70-6 England win reflected that, but Dainton walking out as captain and Wales scoring the first World Cup try will be remembered.

Speaking ahead of the game, Bdr Dainton told BFBS that it was "going to be an unreal experience and something that we've never experienced before".
Her Army teammate Warrant Officer Class Two Jade Mullen didn't feature in the game so will hope to make her World Cup debut against hosts Australia on 1 November.
