The British Army 7s have won the second leg of the Men's Elite LIT Super Sevens Series following a perfect outing at Shelford RFC.

The red shirts began their day by sailing through the group stages with commanding wins over the Mavericks, Vaquita Fiji Warriors and Apache.

In the knockout stages, the Army continued to pick the teams off one by one with a 26-7 quarter-final win over the HK China Dragons and a 31-5 semi-final victory over the Tsunami Assassins.

In the final, the Army carried their impeccable form into their final clash of the day and held off Preseli Babas with a 19-12 victory.

The Army men, who are the reigning overall LIT Super Sevens Series champions, will progress onto the third round at the National Pub 7s in Harpenden on 21 June.
