Exeter Chiefs experience the life of a Royal Marine in pre-season training camp
Premiership rugby players from Exeter Chiefs have been tested in a Royal Marines pre-season training camp in Lympstone.
The team took part in their annual link-up with the Marines at the Commando Training Centre with a number of gruelling tasks for the players to work through.
"It was a bit on an eye-opener," said Will Goodrick-Clarke, who is a new recruit at Sandy Park for the 2024/25 season.

"I've never ever done anything like that so it was a tough one."
"It was a lot of fun," said Paul Brown, who was part of the Chiefs team that beat the Royal Navy earlier this year.
"It was a bit of a man test. Trying to just have one day as a recruit and see if you can last basically. I think it's that element of wanting to push yourself and seeing how far you can go.
