Orla Proctor reveals how UKAF players are battling for spots in IDRC 2025 squad
The International Defence Rugby Competition is the pinnacle of military women's rugby and UKAF will have high hopes of winning the tournament as hosts.
That's due to the quality available in their squad, with women's rugby in all three services showcasing talented players in all positions.
One of those is Orla Proctor, a Scot in the Air Force who also plays for Harlequins, and she's expecting a fight for every shirt.

"There's such a great standard across all three services," said Proctor, who made her UKAF debut in the 2023 Remembrance match against Bristol Bears and has since gone on to win caps against a North of England XV and Ealing Trailfinders.
"People are so driven to get that shirt, but also we're a team, so we're going to help each other try and get to that shirt.
"It's never the same UKAF team. Whether it's a Remembrance game or the game in Newcastle, it's never the same team that takes to the pitch.
"I think that's something really special to say that we've actually got such a good level of standard that people can be competitive for a shirt."
UKAF kick off their tournament in the first match against Tonga on 17 August and you can watch it live on the BFBS Forces News YouTube channel.
