Royal Navy's Will Rigelsford signs for Championship team Cornish Pirates

Royal Navy scrum-half Will Rigelsford has signed for English Championship side Cornish Pirates.

The 26-year-old, who serves as an Engineering Technician skippered the Royal Navy sevens side this season and has represented the UK Armed Forces team.

The half-back joins Pirates following a successful trial period that has seen him feature in all three of the Cornish club's pre-season fixtures.

Pirates' opening Championship game of the season is away at Nottingham on Friday 20 September.
