Take a guided tour around Canada's CF-18 Hornet fighter

Watch: A guided tour around the Royal Canadian Air Force's CF-18

The Royal Canadian Air Force's CF-18 Hornet may appear similar to the F-16 Fighting Falcon or F-15 Eagle, but there are several features that make it stand out.

The CF-18, the Canadian variant of the US F/A-18, is a dangerous adversary in air-to-air combat.

Capable of reaching a maximum speed of 1,127mph, the CF-18 is powered by two General Electric F404 engines, each generating up to 10,000 lb of thrust, increasing to 16,000 lb with afterburner.

Take a tour of the aircraft in the video above.
