Watch: Views above the clouds with RAF's Typhoon display pilot Turbo

If you get dizzy easily you may want to look away - but if you enjoy spectacular views above the clouds an RAF pilot called Turbo has some stunning footage to show you.

Flight Lieutenant David Turnbull, known as Turbo, took to social media to show off what it feels like to depart vertically from a Typhoon display.

"Enjoy that view above the clouds," the RAF's Typhoon display pilot said on X following his performance at the Bournemouth Air Festival.

Turbo time

BFBS Forces News was given exclusive access to meet the RAF's 2024 Typhoon display pilot in February.

Turbo joined the military following a recommendation from his Army brother, who suggested he would enjoy life in the Royal Air Force.

From spending lots of time in the great outdoors, he later discovered his love for flying.

And Turbo boasts an impressive fighter pilot career – he has six years of flying the Typhoon under his belt, taking part in Operation Shader, Exercise Saif Sareea and Exercise Bersama Lima.
