Silent drive, silent watch: What electric vehicles could bring to battlefield tactics
Defence experts are examining how electric military vehicles could influence battlefield tactics.
The process of electrification has begun, but there is still some way to go in the trials and testing.

Pete Johnson, Integrated Vehicles Development, GM Defense, said: "Electric capability offers silent drive, silent watch, the ability to sit in a location without the engine idling that would provide an acoustic signature.
"Low thermal, low acoustic signatures, a reduction of the fuel demands, reduce the reliance on fossil fuels, I think could go a long way to reducing the overall logistics tail associated with military operations."
