Augmented reality gives possible glimpse into future of infantry training

A new system, developed by a technology firm that usually creates video games, could represent the future for infantry training.

The 'Improbable' battlefield simulation training allows commanders to mix real and augmented reality worlds.

This means what happens to personnel in the real-world training area affects and is affected by what happens in the virtual world.

This allows personnel to add a number of variables, such as religious sentiment, media coverage, demographics and traffic management, to test how they play out.
