HMS Blazer has released training footage showing the fast patrol boat working alongside her sister vessels from the Coastal Forces Squadron.

Joined by HMS Trumpeter, Exploit and Biter, HMS Blazer posted a video on social media showing her sailing alongside one of her peers during exercises ahead of their upcoming mission.

HMS Blazer wrote on social media: "New toys were tested and a bit of training conducted. Coastal Forces Squadron is ready to deploy."

Blazer is an Archer-class P2000 fast patrol boat stationed at His Majesty's Naval Base Portsmouth.

With a crew of five, she normally deploys twice a year and is capable of carrying up to 20 personnel at one time.

Together, Blazer, Trumpeter, Exploit and Biter are some of the smallest ships in the fleet.

The Coastal Forces Squadron provides sea training for university cadets, and provides a layer of inshore security for national defence.

The four vessels will soon leave Portsmouth in February for their next deployment.

The crews will spend the next four months on mission and will spend the majority of their time in the fjords of Norway.

During this deployment, the crews will transition from their training roles into operational ones.
