It's a blast: Ranger Regiment soldiers practise explosive techniques in disused quarry
Soldiers from the Ranger Regiment have been having a blast in Somerset as they undergo training and practice to sharpen their demolition skills.
Manoeuvre support rangers, whose responsibility it is to perform mobility and counter-mobility drills, are being trained to use plastic explosives in the most effective way possible.
The video above shows personnel in an area located inside a disused quarry 80 metres down being shown how to best use military-grade explosives and linear cutting charges to cut through reinforced concrete.
