British Army troops salute Ukrainians as they head to the frontline following training in the UK
British and partner nations troops have saluted Ukrainian personnel as they head to the frontline, having finished training in the UK.
Footage tweeted by Ukraine's Ministry of Defense shows military personnel lining both sides of the road, saluting the departing Ukrainian soldiers.
The video, which lasts for 37 seconds, shows some troops holding Ukrainian flags as the buses go by.
The Ministry of Defence also shared the video on Twitter, saying: "We salute our Ukrainian friends as they return home after completing training to defend their freedom, loved ones and independence."
Thousands of Ukrainian troops have received training in the UK, including tank crews who completed their training on Challenger 2s at the end of March.
Ukrainian personnel have also been learning how to fire AS-90 self-propelled artillery guns in the UK. Britain is donating 32 of the guns to Kyiv.
The UK-led training programme for Ukrainian forces is known as Operation Interflex and involves trainers from other allied nations.
