The drone wars: Ukrainian first-person view UAV destroys Russian counterpart
A video has been released showing a Ukrainian first-person view (FPV) drone pursuing one of its Russian counterparts and then destroying it.
The video of the interception by the 38th Marines Brigade in the Kherson region was posted on X by the Ukrainian ministry of defence.
It shows the Ukrainian FPV drone chasing an airborne Russian fixed-wing uncrewed aerial vehicle before destroying it, presumably with a detonation that took down both machines.
Thousands more drones are being supplied to Ukraine under an initiative led by the UK and Latvia.
The deal includes the supply of more first-person view drones, which have proven highly effective on the battlefield.
As part of the plan, the UK will be contributing £200m in manufacturing and procurement for the new batch of machines.
