Footage shows 'Ukrainian soldier's eye view' of the frontline in close-quarters combat with rifle fire
Ukrainian Special Operations Forces (SOF) are seen battling Russian forces in footage that appears to show them in the battlefield during a successful counter-offensive that broke through an area of the village of Robotyne.
The SOF were among the first to face Russian forces on the approach to the village in the region of Tokmak, in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, south-central Ukraine - thought of as a critical logistics hub.
Footage released by Ukrainian soldiers, said to show one soldier's eye view during the battle, reveals the circumstances they endure, as they skillfully navigate the relentless onslaught of Russian artillery fire and engage in close-quarters combat with rifle fire, with deadly drones raining down from the sky.

The video posted on on social media site Telegram, which has not been verified, appears to show troops from 73rd Naval Center of Special Operations, named after Chief of Staff Antin Holovaty, as they battle to retake Russian-held territory, with the post saying the footage reveals just a fragment of the work Ukrainian soldiers do, and the challenging warfare conditions they face, each day.
Earlier this week, Ukrainian forces raised the national flag over Robotyne, which had been under Russian military control since March 2022.
