How can British multiple-launch rocket systems help Ukraine?

The M270 multiple-launch rocket systems are among the most potent weapons used by the British Army, and they are heading to Ukraine.

Intended to counter Russian artillery, the M270 can unleash all of its 12 rockets in less than a minute, each 200 pound explosive warhead leaving behind what military author Martin J Dougherty describes as "hell".

Entering service with the US military in 1983 on Operation Desert Storm, the self-loading launcher is mounted on the chassis of an M2 Bradley fighting vehicle – extending Ukraine’s mobile firepower capability.
