Small and affordable attack drones reshaping Ukraine's military landscape

Watch: Ukrainian drones on display at the DSEI defence expo

Ukraine has seen a huge increase in the use of small, relatively cheap attack drones that have been deployed with devastating effect in the conflict with Russia.

Before the full-scale invasion there were only four firms making drones in Ukraine, but now it’s thought there are 200 - and 40 of them are manufacturing UAVs for the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence.

Many of them are being made by drone enthusiasts who turned their hobby into a defence business to help the war effort.

Forces News reporter Simon Newton spoke to one of the drone manufacturers at the Defence & Security Equipment International exhibition in London, and you can watch his report in the video above.
