US Sailors Injured After Helicopter Crash On Carrier

US sailors have been injured after a helicopter crashed on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier.

The MH-60 Seahawk crashed shortly after take-off while the USS Ronald Reagan was off the coast of the Philippines.

The US Navy's 7th Fleet said all affected sailors were in a stable condition and their injuries were not life-threatening.

An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the crash.

The statement did not give details of how many personnel were hurt or the damage to the helicopter or the aircraft carrier.

The incident happened shortly after takeoff at approximately 9:00 am on Friday morning.

The US Navy said the USS Ronald Reagan "remains fully mission capable and has resumed flight operations".
