A service dog that belonged to former United States president George HW Bush has landed a new job with the US military.
Sully, a yellow Labrador retriever, has received a new assignment at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
The canine has officially joined a group of dogs at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland, to provide comfort to US Navy veterans and their families.
A personalised oath of enlistment was read, which asked: "Sully H.W. Bush, do you affirm — or pant — as a hospital corpsman in the United States Navy that you will support, comfort and cheer our warriors and their families, active duty and retired?"
Sully was also asked to provide "unconditional love and solace, especially on busy days".
