Why hypersonic missiles have caught the attention of AUKUS
The AUKUS military pact between the UK, the US and Australia has been extended to include the sharing of technology to develop hypersonic missiles and countermeasures to defend against them.
It comes after Russia's first reported use of a hypersonic missile in Ukraine. Russia's ally China is also investing heavily in the technology.
Forces News spoke to defence analyst Dr James Bosbotinis.
