Armed Forces Day fever heats up in Falmouth as HMS Richmond and military vehicles arrive
Armed Forces Day fever is slowly hotting up in Falmouth as the Cornish town welcomed military vehicles and Type 23 frigate HMS Richmond ahead of the big day on Saturday.
Falmouth is hosting the national Armed Forces Day event which is expected to be attended by 100,000 people and feature a flypast by the RAF's Red Arrows.
HMS Richmond docked on Thursday morning, with equipment and vehicles including the British Army's Warrior armoured fighting vehicle also arriving ahead of the celebrations where they will be showcased as part of a 'military village'.
In the video above, spectacular drone footage captured by Forces News shows Richmond sailing into Falmouth after leaving Plymouth on Wednesday.
