Armed Forces Day flag raised outside Parliament
A special flag-raising ceremony has taken place in New Palace Yard in the heart of the Parliamentary estate.
The ceremony was hosted by the Speaker of the House of Commons to celebrate the efforts of service personnel and to mark the start of Armed Forces Week which culminates with the national Armed Forces Day event in Cornwall on Saturday.
The Chief of the Defence Staff and MPs were among those to attend the event on Monday.
