Forces TV Meets Military Cross Winner Captain William Hall

Forces TV has met Captain William Andrew Hall of the Royal Artillery after he was awarded the Military Cross for exceptional bravery in Afghanistan.

The Reading soldier rescued a disorientated colleague caught in crossfire before giving first aid to a badly wounded comrade, all under intense enemy fire.

Captain Hall, of the 16th Regiment Royal Artillery, was on only his second mission with the Brigade Reconnaissance Force (BRF), a raid into the insurgent-held village of Kakaran.

He's one of 139 members of the British Armed Forces to have been honoured at the military's annual Operational Awards
