The Journey From Rifle To Machine Gun

With the end of combat operations in Afghanistan, the British Army is changing the way it uses its support weapons.
 
The Army are doing so by creating new specialist machine gun platoons within each company. 
 
Corunna Company, from 2 YORKS, have been training for three weeks at the Pyla Firing Range in Cyprus, learning a mix of classroom theory and marksmanship to make the transition from rifleman to machine gunner.
