Chris White - A Different Perspective

Chris White: A Different Perspective

"While exercising and keeping up fitness I’ve used photography to keep myself active during lockdown.

"Tyndale Monument is often photographed, but I searched for a different perspective to capture a shot including the setting sun.

"I’ve visited the monument many times during childhood and adult life but have never paid attention from this angle.

"I’m still self-teaching myself photography and find it such an interesting hobby which goes in so many directions, it’s also a fantastic way to clear my mind from military life."

"I have recently taken up photography and doing an online course during this strange time.

"The weather was bad outside so I thought I would try and be creative at home with a few bits around the house and this was the outcome.

"I don't have much photography equipment, just a camera and a tripod so I had to use items mostly found in my military kit like candles, torches and tape to hold the light in place.

"It was a very fun experience for me to shoot this!"

"It was then that I began to photograph the moon as it was something I have never tried to capture even though I have been interested in photography for a long time."
