Can you help? Plea for information on stolen First and Second World War medals

A call for help has been made after several First and Second World War medals were stolen from a home in south London.
Alex Howell took to social media to share the news of the break-in and is urging people to be on the lookout for the irreplaceable family medals.
In a post on X, he said: "They took valuables which can be replaced, but they also stole my grandad's WW2 medals.
"In the same tin were his dad's medals from WW1. These are incredibly important to me and my family, and I'm desperate to get them back."
His grandad, Arthur Tichbon, was an RAF navigator who flew Halifaxes with 298 Squadron and was based in India for a time during the war.

Mr Howell believes one of the stolen medals was his grandad's Burma Star. It was in a leather pouch, which had left a small mark on the medal.
Two medals from Mr Howell's great-grandad, who was also named Arthur Tichbon, were stolen, along with a coin that has an image of Arthur E Tichbon on it, which Mr Howell's' grandad would carry in his top pocket.
The coin is double-sided, and on the other side, it has an image of Mr Howell's great-grandmother.

Mr Howell told BFBS Forces News: "These medals mean a lot to me and my family as we are very proud of my grandad and great-grandad's service.
"It's also a link to both of them, who have now passed away. I have just moved house, and we were planning to have them framed in our new home."
Mr Howell hopes that in the "slim chance" anyone sees the medals being sold, they get in touch.

He added: "If it helps, this happened in south London. Thank you to everyone for sharing."
