NHS Service Helps Navy Veteran Find New Lease of Life

A Navy veteran is enjoying a new lease of life after being helped by an NHS service set up to support former service personnel.

Michael Monaghan, 55, had to give up work due to depression following a 22-year career in the submarine service.

But the keen photographer is now looking to get back to work after being helped by Veterans First Point Fife.

It is one of a number of support networks that have been set up across Scotland by local NHS boards to support veterans who face challenges when transitioning into civilian life.
