And it's goodbye from us! Hawk jets make farewell flight around UK

The Royal Navy's Hawk jets have completed a farewell flight around the UK.

Taking off from RNAS Culdrose, four jets from 736 Naval Air Squadron flew from Cornwall to Prestwick, Scotland, and back again the following day.

The Hawks had a significant role in defence for 40 years, playing the role of hostile aircraft or incoming missiles to train ships' crew in air defence.

A final flight around the coast of Cornwall is planned to take place next week – on Thursday 24 March.
