1st Battalion Scots Guards Awarded Medals For Work In Middle East
Soldiers from 1st Battalion Scots Guards have been awarded operational medals for their efforts in the Middle East.
Troops were recognised for their work on Operation Shader 12 in Iraq – the frontline mission against the so-called Islamic State.
The six-month tour, which lasted until June 2021, saw personnel in hostile environments – including facing drone attacks near the compound.
