Army Soldier Seriously Injured At Warcop Training Area

A British Army soldier is in hospital after being seriously injured at Warcop Training Area.
A spokesperson for the service said: "On Friday 30 July an incident took place at the Warcop Training Area which resulted in a soldier sustaining serious injuries.
"As the matter is currently under investigation... it would be inappropriate to comment further."
The soldier is continuing to receive hospital treatment and welfare support.
Warcop, a 9,700-hectare site in Cumbria, is a live Ministry of Defence range, used mainly by Catterick's Infantry Training Centre, according to the Government.
It is also used by other Army units.
