CAMO Day For Kids In Brize Norton

Pupils at the Gateway Primary School at Carterton weren't hard to spot despite coming to class in camouflage.

They were having too much fun to blend into the background when their teachers invited service personnel from RAF Brize Norton next door to lay on a special day.

Military life isn't alien to most of the youngsters at the school.

Nearly three-quarters of them have at least one parent in the services or employed at the base.

RAF firefighters and the military police were popular, especially the dogs they brought along.

There was kit from air-sea rescues to get involved with and even a helicopter.

The event not only gave the children a chance to sample military life, it also benefited the forces charity SSAFA.
