Anonymous feet

As many as 50 British Army soldiers in Wiltshire are self-isolating after "a small number" of personnel contracted COVID-19.

Troops from 1 YORKS at Battlesbury Barracks are self-isolating, including the officer’s mess at the Warminster site.

An Army spokesperson said: "We can confirm that a number of service personnel at Battlesbury Barracks are currently self-isolating following a small number of personnel testing positive for Covid-19.

"The health and wellbeing of our personnel remains a priority and, in line with government guidance, we are taking appropriate measures to support individuals affected."

Statistics released by the Ministry of Defence this week state that out of 31,398 personnel members, 644 have tested positive for coronavirus since the outbreak began.
