King's Troop Commanding Officer Fulfils Lifetime Ambition

The Commanding Officer of the King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery, Major Harry Wallace, fulfilled a lifetime's ambition last weekend when he rode in the Maryland Hunt Cup.
The cup is the USA's premier timber race.
Speaking to The Horse and Hound, Major Harry Wallace described the ride as:
"exhilarating and unique".
The Maryland Hunt Cup.consists of 22 1.5m timber fences over a four mile race course.
Between Harry's prep race with the horse he rode for the race, Wildcatter, and the Hunt Cup Harry had been busy with his King's Troop role firing three royal salutes, including one for the Queen's birthday and another celebrating the birth of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's third child.
The Commanding Officer thoroughly enjoyed the race saying he would do it all again "in a heartbeat".
