Military Personnel Deployed As Pope Francis Visits Knock Shrine

Thousands of Gardai, military personnel and members of the Defence Forces have been deployed around Dublin and Knock in County Mayo for the Pope’s visit to the Knock shrine.
The Garda's air support, the Defence Forces, Emergency Response Unit and the Air Corps are on standby as back up security.
The engagement at Knock comes ahead of a huge outdoor Mass in Dublin's Phoenix Park, for which half a million people have tickets.
Security barriers have also been erected in parts of Dublin as part of security measures for the visit.
