National Play Day: What's On In Britain's Military Areas

Play area

It's Britain's 30th National Play Day today, celebrating children's right to play and its importance in their lives.

The annual event sees thousands of children and their families getting out to play at community events across the country.

We've been trawling Twitter to find out what events are taking place near the UK's many military areas...

Based at Colchester Garrison? Check this out..

Or maybe you're in Wales? Maybe at Hightown Barracks in Wrexham or in Swansea?

Or maybe you're north of the border... Why not take the kids to these if you're based in Glasgow?

Or here's one we can all do...

Or maybe you're in London but can't make it down today...

But whatever you end up doing, make sure you have a happy, playful day!
